ThunderStudy AI is a free hub of seven focused tools for study, exam preparation and everyday support. These answers cover access, the mock-test workflow, privacy, limits, offline use and how to get help from Wondermayank.
Are all these AI tools free to use?
Yes. Every tool listed on ThunderStudy AI is free to use, the same way the rest of ThunderStudy and Wondermayank are. Some tools may add optional premium features down the line. The AI Mock Test Maker also has a fair-use limit of 2 mock tests a day and 5 a week so it stays available for every student.
What is ThunderStudy AI?
ThunderStudy AI is a free educational AI hub from Wondermayank for students preparing for competitive exams. It brings AI chat, mindmaps, flashcards, mock tests and formula sheets together with two personal AI companions in one place.
What are the seven ThunderStudy AI tools?
The hub includes AI Chatbot Study, AI Mindmap, AI Flashcard, AI Mock Test Maker, AI Formula Sheet, Tiny AI Chat and Self Care AI. The first five are Study AI tools for exam preparation; the last two are Personal AI tools for everyday conversation and self-care.
What is the difference between Study AI and Personal AI?
Study AI tools live under ThunderStudy and are built specifically for exam prep, such as CUET, SSC, Banking and UPSC. Personal AI tools live under Wondermayank and are built for everyday conversation and self-care, with no exam context.
What does each Study AI tool do?
AI Chatbot Study answers questions from any subject with exam-ready explanations. AI Mindmap turns a topic or chapter into a clear visual mind map. AI Flashcard generates flashcards from your notes or topics for faster revision. AI Mock Test Maker generates mock tests for competitive exams. AI Formula Sheet creates quick, exam-ready formula sheets for any subject or chapter.
What are Tiny AI Chat and Self Care AI?
Tiny AI Chat is a tiny, witty AI companion for quick, casual everyday conversations. Self Care AI is a gentle AI guide for calmer, more mindful self-care, for the days study is not the priority. Both come from the Wondermayank side of the hub and have no exam focus.
Which tool should I use first?
Use AI Chatbot Study to understand a topic, AI Mindmap to organise it, AI Flashcard to revise it, AI Formula Sheet to review key equations, and AI Mock Test Maker to practise under exam-style conditions. Tiny AI Chat and Self Care AI are for support beyond study.
Where can I open each tool?

Do I need to sign up to use them?
Most tools work without an account. A few ThunderStudy tools may ask for a quick Google sign-in to sync progress across devices. The AI Mock Test Maker needs no sign-up: its test history and usage limit are stored on your own device.
Who builds and maintains these tools?
All seven are built and maintained solo by Wondermayank, a student developer who has been building free educational tools since 2018. They are part of a wider suite of 80+ free web projects spanning study tools, utilities and creative sites. See the About page for more.
What can I generate a mock test from?
In the AI Mock Test Maker you can use a typed topic, voice input, pasted notes, a web article URL, a photo of your notes (read with in-browser OCR), a text-based PDF, or a YouTube video that has a transcript available.
Which exams does the AI Mock Test Maker cover?
CUET, JEE Main, NEET, SSC, Banking and UPSC are built in. Any other subject works too, because questions are generated from whatever topic or material you give it.
Can I choose the difficulty, time and number of questions?
Yes. Pick Easy, Medium or Hard; a 10, 15, 20 or 30 minute timer; and 5, 10, 15 or 20 questions. Formats are MCQ, True/False, Numerical Answer, or a Mixed set.
How many mock tests can I generate?
Up to 2 mock tests a day and 5 a week. The daily count resets at midnight and the weekly count at 12 AM on Sunday. The limit keeps the free AI engine available for every student.
Where is my mock test history stored?
In your own browser, on your device. Your most recent tests are saved there, so clearing your browser data will also clear your history.
Can I download my results?
Yes. After a test you can save it to Recent Tests and download it as an HTML file or a PDF scorecard, and you can review every question with its explanation.
Are the AI answers and questions always correct?
Not always. The tools are powered by AI, so double-check important facts against your textbook or official exam material, especially before an exam.
What happens to the PDF, image or text I upload?
Image text recognition and PDF text extraction run in your browser. The text that is extracted is then used to write your questions, so avoid uploading anything private or confidential.
Does voice input work on every browser?
Voice input uses your browser's Web Speech API, which works best in Chrome or Edge on desktop. If it is not supported, use the Topic, Paste or other tabs instead.
Does the site work offline?
Partly. Pages you have visited can open without a connection, and you will see an offline page when something is not available. Generating a new test or AI answer needs an internet connection.
Does the site show ads?
No. This site does not show or sell ads.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
